Ballarat
Spotted Gum Deck & Hardie Clad Extension
Spotted gum decking with black-framed night sky windows, James Hardie weatherboards and lined ceiling.
Merbau, spotted gum and composite decking, verandahs, balustrades and steps built to last through Ballarat winters.

A deck lives outside in the worst of the weather, so the framing matters as much as the boards. We use treated framing at the right spans, galvanised or stainless fixings, proper falls away from the house and flashings where the deck meets the building.
Heritage bullnose verandah rebuilds are a specialty. We add extra rafters and a row of noggins through the middle for additional roof screws, and keep the detailing as close to the original as possible.
